How to sew a lace handbag

Just a dream: dark blue like the night sky, lace, and a golden lining, and to match it - leather edging and strap, decorated with golden rivets.

Why not sew on a lace skirt (Burda 09/2012, model 127) with a matching handbag from the remnants of luxurious fabric?

YOU NEED: 2 rectangular flaps of lace and lining fabrics size. 23 x 26 cm; a strip of leather with a stitching on both long edges, 1 cm wide: 1x 28 cm long (for the upper edge) and 1x 60 cm long (for pens); riveting machine; rivets (upper and lower parts); 2 golden rings diam. 2 cm; threads paint for painting the edges of the skin Edge Kote; cotton swab, scissors, ruler, marker, awl for leather, pins, needle for leather.

STEP 1
Wrap the lining on the upper edge 1 cm, stitch to the lace to the edge so that the lace protrudes 1 cm wide. Fold the fabric parts (lining on the outside) face to face, grind the side and bottom sections. Zigzag over stocks.
STEP 2
To turn out a handbag. Fold a strip of leather in a ring, sew on a lace edge to the edge so that the lace protrudes 0.75 mm.
STEP 3
On leather strips sewn to the upper edge of the bag, mark the location of the blocks with a marker on the ruler.
STEP 4
Using a rivet machine, mark the holes first, then punch and squeeze the upper and lower parts of the rivets.

STEP 5
Cut 2 loops from the leather, fold them into a ring and sew them by inserting rings into them, on the sides of the bag. At the same time, pierce the holes for the needle (for sewing the skin) with an awl and sew it by hand.
STEP 6
Pull the handles of the bag through the rings and sew it manually using an awl and a leather needle, as described above for belt loops.
STEP 7
Mark the holes for rivets on the handles of the bag, punch holes, then rivets, see the description above for leather strips stitched along the top edge.
STEP 8
Finally, paint the ends of the leather strips with Edge Kote, using a cotton swab instead of a brush.
