How to sew peplum easily and quickly
You will need: fabric (minimum 70 x 70 cm), paper for making patterns (buy at Burda store), 0.45 mm thick perlone thread (efco), tailor pins (buy at Burda store), tailor's scissors (buy at Burda store), threads for sewing (Coats).STEP 1 Make a basque pattern from paper according to the drawing above. The length of the basque in the finished form is approx. 20 cm. Cut a basque from the fabric (with allowances for seams 1 cm wide).
STEP 2 Cut the basque along the mid-front line, iron the bottom cut allowance on the seamy side, lay the pearl thread along the fold and sew the allowance with a zigzag stitch, slightly stretching the fabric.
STEP 3 Carefully cut the excess allowance from the wrong side close to the zigzag stitch. Then process the same allowances on both front cuts (without perlon thread).

You will need:
Cotton poplin 0.70 m wide 140 cm; 0.45 mm thick perlon thread (efco); non-woven G 785; 1 hook; silk paper; threads for sewing.

Cutting:
- basque (according to the drawing) 1x, allowances for seams - 1 cm;
- a belt 69–73–77–81–85–89 cm long (of which 3 cm is an allowance for the fastener) and 6 cm wide, 3 cm in finished form, and 1 cm allowance for seams.
Gasket: iron the non-woven to the belt.

Then grind the belt. To do this, fold the belt with the peplum with its front sides and stitch it to the waist cut at a distance of 1 cm, leaving an allowance for the belt fastener protruding beyond the left end of the peplum. Iron seam allowances and allowance along the open longitudinal section of the belt for the belt. Turn the belt halfway to the front side and grind short sections at the ends. To turn out a belt. - oblique trim for edging a section of the waist 64–68−72−72−76−80−84 cm and a width of 4 cm, including allowances.

Then surround the waist section. To do this, iron on the seamy side the seam allowances along the longitudinal sections to a width of 1 cm, unscrew one allowance again, fold the seam with the peplum with the front sides and sew it to the waist cut along the bend. Turn the strap up, tighten the ends. Unscrew the tape on the wrong side, rounding the seam allowances, and sweep over the stitching seam. On the front side of the basques, lay a stitch in the seam of the stitching of the inlay. Sew open edges at the ends of the inlay.
At the right end of the edging and at the lower right corner of the basques, make a small air loop with threads to sew the loops. Sew a button on the left end of the hem. Fasten the bottom right corner of the Basques to the button.

Then grind the rep tape. To do this, iron an allowance at the waist cut to the front side to a width of 5 mm. Put the rep ribbon on the skirt and pin along the edge of the waist so that the ribbon protrudes 1 cm behind it, and the same length over the midline. Stitch rep ribbon with a zigzag stitch.
