The origin of the jacket is unknown. At different times, different peoples wore short outerwear, similar to modern jackets.
It can be clearly stated only that the very first jackets appeared among the northern peoples, which was due to the harsh climate. At the same time, in each region, jackets were named differently. Some names have survived to this day, for example, "Alaska" - the traditional clothing of the Eskimos.
In Europe, jackets appeared in the Middle Ages. Basically they were sewn from genuine leather and worn by their archers, musketeers and hussars. Later, jackets were sewn from cotton and denim.

Lining and insulation
Almost any jacket is sewn on a lining. Usually, viscose lining fabrics are used for these purposes. They have a smooth silky surface that provides absolute comfort in wearing. Also, mixed materials are suitable for jacket lining. For luxurious options, use natural silk.
For a warm jacket, in addition to the lining, you will also need a heater. It can be a quilted lining, in which the fabric is already quilted with insulation. It is easiest to work with such a lining. If you want to choose not only the lining fabric, but also the insulation on your own, you will have to assemble this “pie” yourself.
