Georgian designer Demna Gvasalia presented a new collection for the Paris brand Vetements, which delighted the Western media and caused bewilderment in Russia.

As the designer himself, who is also the creative director of Balenciaga, noted, “What we have done is what has actually existed for a long time”, and, according to the Russians, the chosen images really exist for a very long time - and they come from the era 90s.
A groom in a graduation suit, a man in a leather jacket from the market, a teacher in a black suit and glasses, boiled jeans - all this desperately resembles what we "have already seen somewhere." By the way, the designer emphasizes that all the models on the catwalk are ordinary people from the streets for whom this clothing is created.
The Western press, in turn, is enthusiastic about Vetements clothing, and the collection has already been called underground and provocative.
Fashion expert Evelina Khromchenko in her Instagram joked that after the show there will be a fashion for walking with her grandparents and that they don’t need to change clothes - and they are very fashionable.
