The new fall / winter 2014/2015 collection on the catwalk of the Moscow Manege as part of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia was presented after the SLAVA ZAITSEV collection.
A rebel, a bully, a tramp, a vulnerable and lonely artist, in his early years, Yegor Zaitsev created metalworkers, punks, informal musicians, filmmakers for similar-minded artists, created costumes for skaters and circus performers. And at the same time he was going to school at his father’s Fashion House. And suddenly Fashion became not just an explosion of fantasy and a splash of creativity, but a philosophy of life. His vision of Fashion passes from one collection to another. The image of the "prickly" woman is transformed, but remains. A delicate flower that protects itself from World Evil with the help of spikes, tentacles, sharp corners, a prickly look. In his collections, Yegor Zaitsev tries to show how he sees the world and women in it. He doesn’t care if his clothes will be worn. He is an abstractionist. But both innovator and inventor at the same time. His things can become world trends a few years later.
“The fashion industry is a drug for the crowd practiced all over the world. I am interested in fashion not as a way to spend money, but as an art and an opportunity for self-expression,” - says the fashion designer. And his famous father claims that Yegor differs from him in that he works not for a specific person, but for the sake of an idea. And at the same time, YEGOR ZAITSEV is convinced that the main thing in life is "love and be loved"…
